    FREMONT, CA, Sept. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- NVXL Technology, Inc., a revolutionary disaggregated compute acceleration startup, announced today the appointment of Andria Zou to the role of Vice President, Business Development and Sales. Ms. Zou will report directly to NVXL’s CEO Jeffery Bunting with responsibility for bringing NVXL’s revolutionary polymorphic technology solutions to market.

    Ms. Zou brings more than two decades of selling highly complex solutions in compute, storage and networking to NVXL. Most recently, she was the Director of Data Center Sales at Xilinx where she led the business and sales development campaign in acceleration as a service with top cloud providers. Prior to this, she worked as Director of Strategic Sales at LSI Corporate (acquired by Avago) and at Marvell Corporation where she was Director of Cisco Sales Worldwide. She also worked in technical sales at Texas Instruments. Ms. Zou has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

    NVXL Technology Announces US$20 Million Series A Round with Alibaba as Lead Investor
    FREMONT, Calif., Nov. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- NVXL Technology, Inc., a disaggregated compute acceleration startup, announced today a $20 Million Series A round with Alibaba Group as a lead investor.

    In conjunction with the investment, the companies have entered into a collaboration agreement to work together and evaluate NVXL's technology to support deep learning and machine learning workloads on Alibaba's platforms.

    Dr. Jianxiong Xiao Joins NVXL Technical Advisory Board
    FREMONT, CALIFORNIA - NVXL Technology is proud to announce that Dr. Jianxiong Xiao (a.k.a. Professor X) has joined the NVXL Technical Advisory Board. A brilliant pioneer in the fields of 3D deep learning, RGB-D recognition and mapping, big data, large-scale crowdsourcing, and deep learning for robotics, Dr. Xiao will be regularly advising the company as it develops disaggregated compute acceleration solutions for deep learning and machine learning applications.

    Dr. Xiao is the Founder and CEO of AutoX Inc., a high-tech startup working on AI software solution for self-driving vehicles. The AutoX mission is to democratize autonomy and make autonomous driving universally accessible to everyone. Dr. Xiao has over a decade of experience in computer vision, autonomous driving, and robotics technologies. He holds a Ph.D. from the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).     Dr. Sharad Malik Joins NVXL Technical Advisory Board
    FREMONT, CALIFORNIA – NVXL Technology is pleased to announce that Dr. Sharad Malik has joined the NVXL Technical Advisory Board as the company prepares to introduce revolutionary technology for disaggregated storage and compute acceleration.

    Dr. Malik is a pioneer in design methodology and automation for computing systems. His research in functional timing analysis and propositional satisfiability has been widely used in industrial electronic design automation tools. Dr. Malik received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. He has been awarded the DAC Award as an author of the most cited DAC paper in first 50 years of the conference. He is also the recipient of the ICCAD Most Influential Paper Award and the CAV Award for fundamental contributions to the development of high-performance Boolean satisfiability solvers. Dr. Malik’s current work focuses on developing a methodology for the design of accelerator-based platforms.

    Dr. Malik is currently the Chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Princeton University.     Dr. Danny Lange Joins NVXL Technical Advisory Board

    Dr. Danny Lange has a distinguished career in machine learning and artificial intelligence that spans some of Silicon Valley's largest companies. Currently, Dr. Lange is the Vice President of AI and Machine Learning at Unity Technologies, leading multiple initiatives in the field of applied Artificial Intelligence. Previously, Danny was Head of Machine Learning at Uber, leading efforts to build a highly scalable machine learning platform to support all parts of Uber's business from the Uber App to self-driving cars. Before Uber, Danny was the General Manager of Amazon Machine Learning and launched an AWS product offering machine learning as a cloud service to the public. He has also worked as the Principle Development Manager at Microsoft and as the CTO of General Magic, Inc.     NVXL Comes out of Stealth Mode - Unveils Plug-in Storage and Acceleration Platform at Flash Memory Summit
    FREMONT, Calif., Aug. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- NVXL comes out of stealth mode to announce a revolutionary storage and compute acceleration platform. "With the massive shift in enterprise data performance driven by deep learning and machine learning, we are responding to and exceeding the need for more storage, acceleration, and efficiency," said company President Jeffery Bunting. "Our high-performance non-volatile storage and compute acceleration modules integrate into a flexible platform, The Plug-in Performance Platform."

    The Plug-in Performance Platform is built to plug-in as much non-volatile SSD storage or compute acceleration to the platform as needed, for a lower cost in dollars and power consumption, enabling tremendous flexibility. Running on standard hardware, the platform handles low-level implementation details so developers and data scientists can be more productive.

    Two critical technologies that support the NVXL platform were unveiled: FlexAccel and FlexDurance. FlexAccel leverages FPGA and ASIC acceleration with a unique software layer that allows deep learning, machine learning, and big data developers to use industry-standard APIs, allowing modules to dynamically optimize for peak compute acceleration or faster SSD performance.

    FlexDurance extends the write endurance of the 3D NAND flash in the platform, resulting in longer life, greater reliability, increased flexibility, and a lower total cost of ownership.

    During the Summit, NVXL will display modules powered by FPGAs which can provide compute acceleration, enterprise-grade SSD storage, or both.
