A serial entrepreneur, Jeff has wide ranging experience and unique ability to excel in strategy, technology, sales & marketing, and operational excellence. His track record includes three successful startups and management consulting in all sized organizations: from a 1-person startup to Fortune 100. Most recently, he was the Founder and CEO of ActiveStrategy, Inc., a software and management consulting firm aimed at improving individual, team, and corporate performance. At ActiveStrategy, in addition to leading the company, Jeff provided management consulting to many leading organizations, including Accenture, Wyeth, Kaiser Permanente, Saudi Telecom, Intel, EMC, and NATO. After its sale to The Advisory Board Company, Jeff served as Executive Director of the business line and was a thought leader and public speaker in healthcare strategy and technology. Earlier, Jeff was Vice President at CorNet International where his leadership was recognized by the Governor as a “Pennsylvania Success Story” and instrumental to the acquisition of CorNet by Dendrite International. Before CorNet, Jeff was part of IMS Health’s Xplorer Group where he created the industry’s first Pharmaceutical Marketing web application. Jeff holds a B.S. and M.S in Computer Science from East Stroudsburg University where he specialized in Software Engineering, Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence.

Michael has over 20 years of strategic planning, product management and business development experience leading high technology companies. His area of expertise spans across data center infrastructure, including software, hardware and semiconductors. He co-founded NVXL with a proven track record of identifying, building, and maximizing value at industry intersections by defining new business models, establishing targeted ecosystems, and executing creative go-to-market strategies. He has extensive career experience with leading high technology companies like Seagate Technology, LSI Corporation, and Marvell Semiconductor. Michael has an MBA from the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley; a BSEE in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the National Chiao Tung University.
Joonyoung (Joon) Kim
SENIOR DIRECTOR OF DEEP LEARNING HARDWARE DEVELOPMENT
Dr. Kim has been working on chip design since he started at Intel in 2001. His focus area has been front-end (RTL) design and design methodology for Intel's flagship client and server CPUs. He also worked in Intel's EDA Program Office and drove Intel's EDA supplier strategy by working with EDA industry on major initiatives including joint feature development and standards.
In 2013, he joined SK Hynix as the Director of System Architecture where he was the founding member and team leader of Solutions Lab and worked on future memory and interface definition by working with key customers and participating in industry. In 2015, Joon returned to Intel and worked on 10nm Xeon server and as the logic design manager for Intel's 10nm on-chip mesh fabric IP (mesh) and caching and home agent subsystem (CHA) subsystem.
Joon holds a BS from Seoul National University, MS and Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, and an MBA from Berkeley Haas School of Business. His research topic for his Ph.D. thesis was boolean satisfiability and its application to EDA under the guidance of professor Karem Sakallah. While he was in Michigan, Joon picked up development of the ground-breaking SAT solver GRASP and created a solver that can solve multiple SAT problems incrementally (SATIRE).
Dr. Chaudhuri has more than 20 years of experience in deep learning acceleration technology and EDA with such companies as Wave Computing, Oasys Design Systems, Magma Design Automation and Cadence Design Systems. He has a proven track record of transforming the market by innovating with disruptive technology solutions.
In 2010, he joined Wave Computing as their Vice President of Software where he co-created the architecture and software for deep learning acceleration systems with tens of thousands of processors. Prior to this, he was Manager of Research and Development at Oasys Design Systems where he oversaw successful deployment of Oasys’s technology into Xilinx’s next generation FPGA synthesis tool. Before this, he was the Senior Director of R&D Synthesis & DFT at Magma Design Automation. As one of their original developers, he was responsible for coding a significant portion of that Company’s front-end tools that offered industry’s first end-to-end automation system for logical and physical design of ASICs.
Dr. Chaudhuri received his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; his M.S. degree, in Electrical Engineering, from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur; and his B.S. degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from the Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur.

Dr. Gallippi joined NVXL in early 2017 and has an extensive work history with companies such as Gigamon, Citrix Systems, Luminescent Technologies, and Ciena. He is a proven leader, guiding engineering teams through design and development processes. He has experience with high performance computing, embedded systems, technology R&D, PCB design, firmware design, signal processing, FPGA design and methodology, and CM/ODM management. While at Gigamon, he co-architected the company’s first H-series platform and designed control and power modules, switch fabrics, and backplanes. He also grew a successful team that delivered more than 25 products across 10 platforms to market.
Dr. Gallippi holds three degrees including a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California; an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California; and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
PRINCIPAL SOFTWARE ARCHITECT
Dr. Han has more than 20 years of experience developing applications in artificial intelligence (AI), image processing, deep learning, software design, and computer vision. He has worked at KLA-Tencor, General Electric, and Intel. Recently at Intel, he developed a Nanovision (NV) image analysis and simulation tool for semiconductor metrology measurement. Dr. Han also designed several automatic image processing applications to support daily production activities.
Dr. Han has authored 3 U.S. patents and holds the following degrees: a Ph.D. Computer Science from Wayne State University; an M.S. Computer Engineering from Tsinghua University; and a B.S. Computer Engineering from Tsinghua University. He is also fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.

Dr. Malik is a pioneer in design methodology and automation for computing systems and current Chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Princeton University. His research in functional timing analysis and propositional satisfiability has been widely used in industrial electronic design automation tools. Dr. Malik received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. He has been awarded the DAC Award as an author of the most cited DAC paper in first 50 years of the conference. He is also the recipient of the ICCAD Most Influential Paper Award and the CAV Award for fundamental contributions to the development of high-performance Boolean satisfiability solvers. Dr. Malik’s current work focuses on developing a methodology for the design of accelerator-based platforms.
Dr. Xiao is the Founder and CEO of AutoX Inc., a high-tech startup working on AI software solution for self-driving vehicles. The AutoX mission is to democratize autonomy and make autonomous driving universally accessible to everyone. Dr. Xiao has over a decade of experience in computer vision, autonomous driving, and robotics technologies. He holds a Ph.D. from the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is a recipient of the 2012 Google Research Best Papers Award, the 2012 Google U.S./Canada Fellowship in Computer Vision Award, the MIT CSW 2011 Best Research Award, the NSF/Intel VEC Research Award in 2016, and two Google Faculty Awards in 2014 and in 2015, respectively. He also co-lead the MIT+Princeton joint team to participate in the Amazon Picking Challenge in 2016, and won the 3rd and 4th place worldwide.

Dr. Danny Lange has a distinguished career in machine learning and artificial intelligence that spans some of Silicon Valley's largest companies. Currently, Dr. Lange is the Vice President of AI and Machine Learning at Unity Technologies, leading multiple initiatives in the field of applied Artificial Intelligence. Previously, Danny was Head of Machine Learning at Uber, leading efforts to build a highly scalable machine learning platform to support all parts of Uber's business from the Uber App to self-driving cars. Before Uber, Danny was the General Manager of Amazon Machine Learning and launched an AWS product offering machine learning as a cloud service to the public. He has also worked as the Principle Development Manager at Microsoft and as the CTO of General Magic, Inc. He received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Technical University of Denmark and holds 22 patents.
